An Interactive Look at the Medicine of the Future
The Open Day at the Robotics Center attracted 400 visitors
On April 18, 2026, the Euregional Center for Robotic Surgery at RWTH Aachen University (EuRoSA) opened its doors to the public. The open day was entitled “Robotische Chirurgie und moderne Endoskopie – Medizin der Zukunft zum Anfassen” (Robotic surgery and modern endoscopy—an interactive look at the medicine of the future.) Around 400 visitors took advantage of the opportunity to learn about modern medicine.
Young and old, laypersons and medical experts all took part, and everyone had the chance to find out about modern robotic surgery. Visitors were able to try out surgical robots for themselves, and specialists explained to them how these robots are used in real medical practice. There were also lectures on robotic surgery and modern endoscopy, which provided insights into the medicine of tomorrow.
